Japan's security company Secom Co., Ltd. announced on August 31 that it has developed a security system that employs voice/image-recognition techniques for the first time ever in Japan and will go on sale on September 21.
In the system, which is dubbed Intelligent Emergency System, CCTV camcorders installed on the premises capture what is going there.
When they detect an unusual voice or image, an alarm signal will be transmitted to Secom's control center.
