Tethering features are unavailable on iPhone 3G S in Japan

Although the iPhone 3G S features a tethering function, it is unavailable in Japan.

The function will allow you to use the iPhone 3G S as a modem for your PC to connect to the Internet.

The iPhone service provider in Japan, Softbank Mobile (SBM) Corp., says it will not provide a service that enables the tethering function under its flat-rate charging systems.
