Survival in digitization of TV in Japan (48) -- Chideji receivers are steadily increasing [2]

According to JEITA's announcement on October 22nd, 1,831,000 terrestrial digital broadcasting receivers that were shipped in Japan in September 2009 include devices as follows:


* Digital TV set  1,138,000 units

* External tuner  171,000

* STB for CATV  165,000

* DVD recorder with built-in tuner  101,000

* BD recorder with built-in tuner  233,000

* PC with built-in tuner  23,000
