SBM to levy new double-ceiling rate on smartphone packets

Softbank Mobile (SBM) Corp. announced on October 6 that it will bring in two new double-ceiling rate plans for data communications on its Android- and Windows Mobile-based smartphones on November 12.

One is “Unlimited Packet Communications S for Smartphone,” which will charge the subscriber ¥390 at least and ¥5,985 at most every month.

The other is “Unlimited Packet Communications MAX for Smartphone,” which is only for the users that subscribe to it by April 30, 2011. It will charge the subscriber ¥3,985 at least and ¥5,985 at most every month.
