Discovery Channel on IPTV in Japan

Sony Marketing (Japan) Inc. said Monday that it will start a video delivery service “branco” at noon on March 31.

The service will be available to the subscribers to the Flet’s Hikari service―the current FTTH service―from NTT East Corp./NTT West Corp. who install the dedicated software “branco player” on their Windows PC.

The video delivery service, based on the IPTV system, is expected to bring the programs such as Discovery Channel to the subscribers around the clock for free.
