LCD HDTV with digital tuner has come out at ¥29,800
A 19-inch LCD HDTV with tuner for terrestrial digital broadcasting hit the market with a ¥29,800 price tag on November 20.
The TV, LC-M19D3, is sold at MrMax, general discount chain store based in Fukuoka, Japan.
It is available from its 42 branch stores in Japan and/or from its online shopping website.
MrMax pushes the new TV mainly as sub set at home.

Survival in digitization of TV in Japan (15)―campaign 1000 days before digitization
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) announced Thursday that in collaboration with the Association for Promotion of Digital Broadcasting (Dpa) it will conduct an awareness-building campaign for digitization of terrestrial TV broadcasting in Japan in 2011.
One of the campaign activities will be held at Sen-nichi-mae (1000 days before) in Osaka on October 27―just 1000 days before the terrestrial analog TV broadcasting ceases and the digital one starts.
