The Kinki Bureau of Telecommunications and the Association for Kinki Wide-Area Promotion of Digital Broadcasting announced on September 3 that a caption would begin to show on analog programs all the time that are broadcast by the four TV stations on September 6.
The caption is intended to promote further dissemination of DTV-enabled installation in the Kinki area.

The program, which is expected to go on the air all at once around Japan from 5:59am to 6:00am on July 4, 2010 to promote more awareness of chideji, has been prepared for analog and digital terrestrial TV broadcasting.
On an analog TV during the promotion time period, the viewers will see a kind of blackout display that urges them to install a chideji-enabled TV set as soon as possible.
On a digital TV during the promotion time period, the viewers will be advised to chideji-enable the other TV sets in their home.

The National Association of Commercial Broadcasters in Japan (NAB) announced on May 27 that it had produced a TV program that promotes visibility of chideji in collaboration with NHK (Nippon Hoso Kyokai: Japan Broadcasting Corp.).

Two CATV stations in Japan, its communications Inc. that operates in some areas of Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture and You Communications Corp. that operates in some areas of Kanagawa Prefecture, announced on May 26 that they will convert the digital terrestrial television broadcasting to the existing analog format and relay it to the subscribers until March 31, 2015.
Therefore, the subscribers to their CATV service will continue to receive analog and digital terrestrial television broadcasting simultaneously until March 31, 2015.
