Knowledge sharing service based on image search (2) -- Books on Amazon

The Hikigaeru is a service that allows the user to search the Web for information which is associated with the image he/she specifies by uploading it or entering its URL.

When a front cover of a book is uploaded to the Hikigaeru, the related page on Amazon.com will appear and reviews of the book can be retrieved.

Knowledge sharing service based on image search (1) -- Hikigaeru

WASP Corp, Ltd. announced on October 1 that it had officially launched a knowledge sharing service based on image search.

Its service Hikigaeru allows the user to search the Web for information which is associated with the image he/she specifies by uploading it or entering its URL.

Twitter tells where you are now

Twitter, Inc. released a new feature of its micro blogging service Twitter on June 14, U.S. Time.

The new feature Twitter Places will allow the user to tag her/his tweet with an arbitrarily-specified location.

The feature is also available on a mobile; for instance, the iPhone.

Twitter, Inc. released its iPhone application for tweeting on its micro-blogging service Twitter on May 19, U.S. Time.

Its application Twitter for iPhone allows you to connect to the Twitter on not only the iPhone but also the iPod touch.

The Twitter for iPhone application is now available in English or Japanese from the App Store for free.

Ustream is localized into Japanese (2)

Are you already enjoying the Ustream service in English?

It has been localized into Japanese by Softbank Corp., which put some $20 million into Ustream on January 29, 2010 to affiliate it.

Softbank Corp. announced on April 27 that it began to offer its localized Japanese version of Ustream on that day.

The Japanese version of Ustream has been partially localized as of that day.

Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. announced Monday that it will begin to provide an Internet shopping brochure service that is optimized for Sharp's AQUOS TV sets in late May.

Its shopping brochure service Catalog Depart(ment) Paraly for AQUOS will be accessible via the AQUOS.jp service that is dedicated to Sharp's AQUOS TV.
