The head of the DPJ appears on Nico Nico Douga

Ichiro OZAWA, the head of the Democratic Party of Japan, launched his official page on Nico Nico Douga on September 26.

Nico Nico Douga is Niwango, inc.'s video sharing website.

The page will remain operating during the campaign for the expected general election.

MySpace interacts with Yahoo!

You can now log in to the MySpace Japan with your Yahoo! Japan ID.

Before you can do it, you need to set up some configurations on both websites of the MySpace Japan and the Yahoo! Japan.

MySpace claims that this is its first time to accept IDs from another provider.

Why are online maps of Japan provided in Japanese only?

The online location-based services deployed in Japan, for example, Google Maps and Live Search Maps, bring you maps of Japan on PC or mobile phone in Japanese only.

These online maps are not utilized by only those who understand Japanese.

MySpace considers the 18-year-old as the 15-year-old in Japan (2)―EMA's standard

MySpace applies the regulation that is intended for the users under fifteen in the U.S. to the ones under eighteen in Japan.

MySpace is going through the examination performed by the Content Evaluation and Monitoring Association (EMA) that judges if the mobile website is wholesome for young people, allegedly under eighteen.

That's why MySpace has adjusted its policy in Japan so that it can be given the nod by the EMA.

The SNS giant MySpace has applied the regulation that is intended for the users under fifteen in the U.S. to the ones under eighteen in Japan.

The Japan-oriented regulation says that the users under eighteen need to register each other as friend to communicate with each other.

YouTube is searched for most often on Yahoo! Japan

Yahoo Japan Corp. announced Tuesday that “YouTube” was the most searched-for word on its Internet search service Yahoo! Japan from January to June in 2008.

In 2007, most often searched for was “mixi.”
