Fujifilm Corporation released its latest 3-D camcorder on August 17.
The 3-D camcorder FinePix REAL 3D W3 is expected to ship for the street price of some ¥48,000 on September 4.
It features HD video recording.

Panasonic to 3D-enable 42-inch or bigger VIERAs overall
Panasonic announced on July 21 that it will 3D-enable all of its Viera series TVs that are 42-inch or bigger in future.
Panasonic considers 2010 as the first year for 3-D TVs to get in households' living room to try to dominate the market.

Sharp to enter e-book business on a full scale
Sharp Corp. announced on July 20 that it had enhanced the e-book format XMDF so that video and audio are played on the devices.
With the enhanced e-book format, or next-generation XMDF (ever-eXtending Mobile Document Format), Sharp will begin to provide its e-book delivery service and dedicated devices to make an all-out entry into the e-book business within the year of 2010.

Google to enter e-book business in Japan (2) -- HTML5 and ePub
E-books offered by means of the Google Edition service will be available in the form of HTML5 data via a Web browser on any device.
The data based on the ePub system will be also downloadable and viewable if a Google Edition-friendly e-book publisher provides it.

WOWOW to deliver The Pacific to iPhone/iPad
WOWOW Inc., BS broadcaster in Japan, announced on July 9 that it will deliver TV drama “The Pacific” to the iPhone and the iPad.
The iPhone and the iPad users will be able to watch The Pacific Episode 1 on their iPhone/iPad from 11 pm July 18 to 9 pm July 25 for free.

WOWOW's EPG for iPhone/iPod touch/iPad
WOWOW Inc., BS broadcaster in Japan, announced on July 8 that it had begun to provide its EPG (electronic program guide) application for the iPhone on July 3.
The EPG application, WOWOW Program Guide, is also available on the iPod touch and the iPad.
The guide highlights WOWOW's recommended program every week.
WOWOW suggested possibilities for delivering videos to these devices in the near future.
