Frontmedia, Inc. announced on December 7 that it would begin to provide its video delivery service QTV Video for Android-based devices on that day.
The user can watch more than 5,000 titles on her/his Android device as of the launch date.
The QTV Video service is adaptive to Android 1.6 or later and available on Android gadets including smartphone and tablet products.

NHK gets on YouTube (1) -- Two hundred programs
Google Inc. announced on December 6 that it has established a site on the YouTube that is dedicated to providing NHK (Nippon Hoso Kyokai: Japan Broadcasting Corp.) programs.
The site NHK Programs Collection allows you to watch about 200 NHK programs on the YouTube for free as of now.

Emobile launches Android smartphone (2) -- Tethering is available
The HTC Aria (S31HT) is an Android-based smartphone, which Emobile Ltd. will launch on December 17.
It comes with a Qualcomm MSM7227 600-megahertz processor and a 3.2-inch touch-sensitive TFT-LCD screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.
The HTC Aria (S31HT) supports tethering features.

Prototype of ATOK for Android (2) -- DoCoMo's sp mode supported
The trial version of IME (input method editor) application ATOK for Android, which is intended for use on NTT DoCoMo's Android-based smartphones of the GALAXY S SC-02B and the Xperia SO-01B, can be used to enter emoji (pictograph) in DoCoMo's e-mail application “sp mode mail.”
After the trial period is over, or after February 28, 2011, Justsystems Corp. is expected to provide the ATOK for Android as a pay application.

TSUTAYA delivers 3D video
TSUTAYA TV Co., Ltd. announced on December 2 that it will begin to provide a VOD (video on demand) service.
TSUTAYA TV is now mounting its Trial 3D Campaign through January 22, 2011.
The campaign allows the user that buys a TV set specified by TSUTAYA TV and subscribes to its service to watch two 3D titles at ¥630 for each.

Fake URL appears on iPhone/iPad
It has been found that a fake URL may be shown on the Safari web browser on iPhone/iPad.
This will be caused by abusing Apple's iOS specifications.
